WHAT IS A DOULA?

The word doula comes from the Greek language and means 'serving woman'.

The word was used in pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.  

This doula stood for wisdom, stillness and trust. She brought all her wisdom and experience together to support the woman, the child and the partner. She serves.

THE DOULA NOW

There are now many healthcare providers who ensure that your pregnancy, delivery and postpartum period are safe. Such as midwives and gynaecologists.  

There's also so much knowledge and research in books. You would think that everything is there and yet you may be missing something.
